Hospital has one of the oldest blood bank in the city running since 1991, equipped with the latest types of equipment and working station as follows:

Donor couches: Two latest donor-friendly couches with the facility to raise head-end or foot-end according to the need.

Walk-in-blood storage: Latest walk-in-blood storage facility with the capacity of 400 units at one time.

Semi chemiluminescence: Semi-chemiluminescence for screening of donors for TTI (HIV, Hep-B, Hep-C) as per the instructions from the office of drug controller of India.

Quality control: Internal and External quality control standards are maintained to achieve safest possible blood for recipients. EQAS program BEQAS, Jaipur is used to periodically assess the quality of our lab’s performance and achieve confidence in recipient’s and donor’s test results.

Microscopy room: For blood group testing working round the clock.

Blood collection Monitor: Used to monitor the collection of a blood donation to protect against over or under bleeding of the donor.

COMPONENT SEPARATION UNIT: is under process. License for component separation is under process.

EQUIPMENTS:

Plasma expressor: For separation of plasma from whole human blood contained in double bag.

Platelet agitator: for storage of 48 bags of platelets at one time.

Plasma freezer: Two plasma freezers for plasma storage at temperature -400c and -800c respectively.
